Ammeline Wang

Co-investigator

Ammeline is a PhD candidate in Criminology and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester. She holds an MPhil in Criminological Research from the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge;  and a BSc (Hons) in Criminology from Kingston University, London.
Her research interests lie in the areas of hate crimes, youth justice, critical race studies, and neuro-criminology, with a qualitative focus. She is also currently involved in a project, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, evaluating the implementation of UK’s Youth Justice Reform Programme. 
Her PhD utilizes the concept of ‘cultural identity’ to explore how Southeast Asian international students in the UK experience and perceive hate crimes and microaggressions.
